Radon is a radioactive cancer causing gas present in the environment. Homes in our region of North Carolina are prone to have elevated levels of radon due to our geology. Breathing radon gas increases the risk of Lung Cancer. The U.S. Surgeon General warns that “indoor radon is the second leading cause of Lung Cancer.” And the EPA estimates that 21,000 annual deaths are radon related. See our Health Risks.
Elevated levels of radon in your home are a health hazard but the problem is easily solved. See our System Design.
Air Quality Management is certified, licensed and insured to solve all indoor radon issues. We maintain Radon specific liability insurance (general liability policies do not cover radon mitigation work.)
Our Design and Installation Pros are NEHA-NRPP certified mitigators, and are registered with the State Radon Office (www.ncradon.org)
